Here at AFC Urgent Care in Willowbrook and Naperville, we are looking for only the best for our patients. We are now seeking a Nurse Practitioner to become a part of the team. You will focus on providing high-quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Help when needed with IV Therapy.
- Procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with the collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Documentation in Detail of the Medical Symptoms and Complaints
- Avoid Diagnosis Codes that are not accepted by insurance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
Requirements:
- Master's degree in nursing from PA School.
- Current state nurse practitioner or PA license.
- Understands HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
- Able to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and other nurses.
- Must hold RN and APN licensing.
- Holds NP or PA certification through any of the following organizations:
- American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- American Nurses Credentialing Center
- Certification Board for Urologic Nurses and Associates
- National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties
- Pediatric Nurse Certification Board
